I am 3 weeks off Cymbalta. Still having side effects. They are getting better....but still hanging around. Wanted to post the good news for those just starting out:) You can do it! And then post my continuing side effects in hopes that we can commiserate together, or someone can offer some advice.
Still having:
brain zaps-getting better! but worse when on the computer or tv...things with flashing screens will set this off!
fever-new in the last 2 weeks, low grade fever that comes and goes...boo!
shivers-mostly at night
no appetite-forcing myself to eat small, nutritious meals and snacks for energy...and I have low blood sugar
trouble driving-having trouble with my eyes focusing, but this is getting better
light sensitive- i hate lights!! no night driving for months now b/c of the headlights....reason I stopped Cymbalta
crawling skin-irritated by touch, arrgh!! getting better
achy muscles
+++Why does this drug affect the eyes so much???
Positive, the weight is starting to come off a little bit. Drink lots of water!!
Note: I was given Cymbalta for fibromyalgia pain and grief. I have now been taking a homeopathic remedy called Ignatia for the grief/ anxiety. Works wonders for those moments! Check out your health food store. Also, meeting one on one with a Yoga Therapist for pain management...worth all the time, energy, and every penny.
My fear: that these symptoms are with me to stay. But I've been through too much to settle for that! So here we go-off Cymbalta and now ready to conquer the after affects.
Cheering for all of us!
