I've been battling withdrawal symptoms since I started tapering off of Cymbalta. I've read the forums and it seems like a good place to go for support.

Sorry if this is something someone previously posted, but I was curious...

When you experience the withdrawal symptoms, how do you cope with it? What do you do to relieve the symptoms when they appear?

It's really important to have a good support system. Let your family & friends know you need help. I personally elected not to take another drug to help me get off this drug. But, if you read other posts, many were helped by taking another medication to lessen the symptoms. I was fortunate not to be working. I was incapacitated to the point I couldn't even drive. Thankfully my mother stepped in to help with my family, house and groceries. The severity of withdrawals is so different for each person, so is their coping strategy. This site has been a godsend to me. I realized I was not alone. Hearing from so many caring people, their stories, advice and kind words helped me cope during my worst days. I wish you all the best...

amtrack,
As for myself, I finally found the right amount to decrease for myself. I was going way to fast, due to my horrible memory problem, but when
I caught it I was able to get my dose to where I am not having as many withdrawl symptoms.

With the ones I am having right now like sweating, welll there are lot's of things you can do, look in the nutrition section that will help you
as far as things to do for withdrawls.

Onething I was taught here was to remember it was the drug, that's hard to do when you feel so crazy, and insane, or at least I did, but that's
what really helps me now!!

I don't know where you are as far as withdrawls. Are you still on Cymbalta?

Hope that helped. Let me know what kind of symptoms your having?

Debbie
Four Dont's

Don't hurry. Your going to live for ever---somewhere. IN fact, you are in eternity now;so why rush!
Don't Worry. You belong to God, and God id Love; so why fret?
Don't Condemn. As you cannot get under the other fellow's skin, you cannot possibly know what difficulities he has had to meet-Your are not perfect yourself and might be much worse in his shoes.
Don't Resent. If wrong has been done, the Great Law will surley take care of it. Rise up in consciousness and set both yourself and the delinquent free. Forgiveness is the strongest medicine.
