GRC-I don't think it's stupidity so much as misplaced trust... Most people I know expect their doctors to be the experts. I think on a lot of things they are. However, as others have said, the research on these meds often do not include the time getting off of the medication. Also, doctors are usually not going through this themselves. And, it is becoming clear that some doctors may be getting a kick back or something. I'm not saying they do, but it definitely is food for thought.

hi there,
I am having problems with blood pressure and pulse being higher than usual during w/d. This is a concern as i already take 3 different bp meds. i will keep monitoring and hope it returns to normal. I am 10 days cymb. free.
