Ok here goes; the reason why & how I found this site was not because of dizziness or all the usual symptoms of discontinuation - I've stopped my Cymbalta 10 days ago and I expected all of those symptoms as it tels you about them on the patient leaflets, the legal label/SPC and if you've suffered with depression then really educate yourself! Discontinuation is not a new phenomena! It is a well documented and studied subject; get the help you need, it is horrible but really lawsuits & suing - what a complete waste of your energy and time. These medicines including Cymbalta save millions of lives every day, there are a few thousand on these sites do the math and spend your energy into more positive pursuits like helping yourself and others to recover.

I've been reading a lot of emotional reports on here. I do believe that Lilly need and want to know these stories - they were really helpful when I called them and reassured me (which as a depression/anxiety sufferer is often what I need!!) that I am not alone, others have these symptoms and they will go away. Everyone on here should officially report their adverse events directly to the company and to their own physician and to the FDA - they routinely update the legal status of the drug by this route. Law suits do not result in medicines being removed from markets in my opinion they just waste a lot of money and mean that future medicines will cost more in the long run. You may not like this but it is the truth.

Anyway back to my main point (I dont think getting side tracked is a symptom!! ;) I have had the most unexpected dream and emotional response tonight! I was really relaxed and tired and was just dozing off to sleep when I must have had around 6 or 7 orgasms!! Something which was lacking or took a long time to achieve while I was taking Cymbalta - lucky for me I have a wonderful husband who is patient.....

Then immediately after this sexual experience I was feeling happy  but then burst into tears and was uncontrollably crying for about 2-3 minutes. I looked it up and its called "emotional lability" so it is recognised but wow such a weird feeling - I hope these things don't happen when I'm in a work meeting!!

Anyone else out there had similar symptoms? The only thing I could find on here was 'crazy dreams' - were they naughty/sexy or just crazy for other reasons?

I'm going to report this to Lilly in the morning - that will be a fun conversation to look forward to! :D So now I'm going back to bed, you never know I might get lucky again!! Night night all xx
Discovered it's impossible to withdraw from this website! Cymbalta is a fantastic medicine that helped me get better & get on with my life; I suggest you do to! See ya!

lucky you! ;)

The only things I'm experiencing so far is an increased sex drive, and powerful orgasms. It takes me just as long as before to reach that point, just a whole lot stronger when I do. And I'm seeing my boyfriend in a whole new light.. lol Find myself looking at him like a starved woman would stare at a chocolate cake! Poor boy! ;)

I'm sure he doesn't feel bad about it lol ;0) My husband I got intimate earlier & the same thing happened as last night.....About 3 "O's" then another spontaneous one a few minutes later followed immediately by uncontrolled crying!! It's the most weird feeling I've ever had & I find it really hard to describe it!

I reported this to Lilly by phone today and I agreed for one of their GPS (global product safety) team to contact me if they wanted more details, I'll email the lady again tomorrow to let them know it's happened again which she asked me to do as it's so rarely reported Lilly say they don't have the figures on it.

I guess people like to keep this sort of thing private; understandably - I just feel I have a duty to share this experience so that it might help Lilly & the authorities help others in the future. If we on this forum and other forums like it only report things to each other or to their lawyers how can Lilly possibly do anything positive about it? <_<
