been on cymbalta for 5 years; can't afford it anymore; need to wean off.

So I have been weaning off Cymbalta from 120mg and I'm on 60mg now. I am very fortunate not to have had some of the horrific side effects that some of you have had to experience. But I've noticed that I am EXTREMELY tired... 14 hours of sleep and I feel ready for a nap. Haven't read much about fatigue associated with Cymbalta withdrawal though, but that's the only variable that's changed recently. Hopefully I'll adjust and get used to it.

Also I'm annoyed with my doctors for starting me on Cymbalta as a teenager--they only tried ONE other SSRI before pumping me full of pills and gave me NO INFORMATION about side effects. I also had about ~40lbs weight gain over several years.

Thanks for listening.

Dear Pat:
Yes I have felt fatigue and tired while weaning off of cymbalta. I sleep too much.

When I reduced from 90mg to 60mg I didn´t have much withdrawal symptoms either. I think it is because 60mg is the therapeutic dose and I didn´t really need 90mg. Withdrawals started hitting when I reduced from 30 to 20mg

How old are you?? since you mention you are a teenager?

I gained 52 lbs when I started cymbalta.
