Dear Sherri:
I am not a doctor, but from what I´ve read on this site on people´s experiences, the every day approach is not that good. It is better to take a certain dosage of cymbalta EVERYDAY than it is to skip days.

It is very difficult to tell how long withdrawals last. I´ve read on this site, people who have taken months to get well.

If the objective is to get off of cymbalta with lesser withdrawal symptoms, the best way is to wean slowly. I´ve read on this site about people who quit fast and then had relapses.

I have been weaning slowly from 60mg to 13mg, doing very small drops. I´ve had withdrawal symptoms, but I have been able to function, exercise, socialize, etc. I do not know if symptoms will hit me hard when I get to 0mg.

hugs
