I had Cymbalta for same reason: Fibromyalgia. It works pretty well but side effects are/were ruining my life. Did it work for you?

Headache sounds very familiar from my last time. For me it was more like really really REALLY sore muscles on sides and especially the left side. I don't know if it's fibromyalgia or withdrawal causing it. In my diary from the first attempt there are many notes about various stomach problems and pains.

You were on Cymbalta for 5 years so I guess your symptoms could be still withdrawal. Five years is a long time and your body needs time to get used to live without Cymbalta. I hope your aches will fade away day by day and you'll be back at normal soon!

I to get the stomach cramps and the muscels contract as well. Its really bothering me and i'm still on the 60mg.
Australian male.

60mg a day.

hating it and want to get off this train.

I was on Cymbalta 60mg for 5 years to treat Fibromyalgia. Last February I decided I was feeling a lot better and weaned myself off the Cymbalta very slowly. By April I was completely off the drug, feeling fine. Except for a little stomach upset. Which I could live with. Also my BM were yellow and very soft. Then In late June I started to experience this terrific headache on the left side off my head. Tenderness behind my left ear, stabbing pain at the top of my head. In July, stomach got much worse. Nausea, pain in the abdomen. Plus a pounding sensation from my gut and the terrible headache. Every morning. Couldn't eat, lost 30 pounds in July alone. Finally I went to see my doctor in August. She has since ran all kinds of tests to see what is going on. Ultrasound of gallbladder and liver were normal, MRI of the brain was clean, CT scan of abdomen and pelvis didn't show anything wrong. Still every morning I wake nauseated, with stomach pain, headache and that pounding sensation. Does anyone else feel like this? Is this because I went off the Cymbalta?

Hi: I'm interested in the "delayed reaction" part of your story ,because I am having that. Withdrawal went fine for awhile, then all Hell
broke loose. For me, it's mostly GI tract stuff--wicked diarrhea that comes in waves, and stomach upset and heartburn. Was
very dramatic for awhile, now just moderate, but still coming in waves. Also had the tests and nothing wrong. It's most likely
the Cymbalta withdrawal. This stuff is really nasty. I think it's malpractice to put anyone on it. Good luck to you!

I just thought that I would let this forum know that I have been off Cymbalta since June 21. I still have stomach pains in the evening, insomnia, appetite still isn't what it used to be( I lost 40 lbs. Still hard to put back on,gained 6 pounds. Also I still get antsy a lot, even irritating sounds are more severe than they normally would be.
I only hope that this goes away ASAP. Good luck to any of you who may be going through withdrawals.

I'm really hoping that this stops soon. The stomach cramping is horrible. I'm going to the bathroom all the time. At least seven to eight times a day. I am drained. I have lost 10lbs so far mostly because I can't eat. Everything hurts. Its getting aggravating. I just want to be out of pain. And it gets old saying that I don't feel good. Everyone thinks that you are just saying that you don't feel good as an excuse to not have to do or go anywhere. I just want this pain to end.
