Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that you got a big bonus "O" from getting off of the 'balta' :P

How many mg were you down to when you stopped taking it for good?
I know that you said you eye balled the pellets.......I am taking 10 extra pellets out each day. Started with a 20mg and then took out 10 one day, 20 the next, 30 etc......

    Cymbalta withdrawl :(

Now that im a member on this site my name is changed from "Rachael" to "rach2424." So don't get confused by that :)

Rollercoaster: I believe you might be correct about it coming out in 2004. I do know that when I started it, it was brand new to the market. Therefore, it could very well have been 7 years I was on it, and not 8 :) Either way, 7 years TOO long!!!

Pamela: I do not know exactly how many mg's I was down when I stopped. But, because the beads are so inconsistent in each capsule this is what I did:
1. I emptied out all the capsules into a bowl.
2. I took 7 capsules and put back in about 175 beads for the first week, 150 the next week, 100/week, 50/week, 25/week, 15/week, then about 10 beads every other day for the last week. (Yes, this was VERY time consuming!!!!!)
3. This lasted about 2 months, then stopped completely. My withdrawl symptoms did not hit me hard until after I was COMPLETELY off for about 2-3 days.

Rachael,

Thanks for letting me know how you did it. I am pinching out the pellets each morning and counting them. Today I took out 60 pellets from a 20mg capsule so I think that I am at about 13mg. I feel pretty good but probably only because I am taking 20mg of prozac too. I am nervous that it will hit me hard once I am down to nothing........I guess I just have to wait and see.

Good luck!

Good luck :) Im glad you decided to wait until AFTER the holidays to stop completely. That was probably my biggest mistake. Holidays were not pleasant in this household!!! But, it does feel good knowing that I am slowly going back to the "true" me :) I hope the Prozac will help you and keep you from getting so many of the nasty side effects.
