trying to get this toxin out of my body!

Posted 03 January 2011 - 08:55 PM

I thought that it would be a good idea to post some good things that I have been feeling since I started weaning......maybe give some people some hope and remind myself of how good I feel in some respects....

1. No excessive sweating on my face and scalp. I would spend money and time on hair and makeup to have it ruined within minutes because of sweating.

2. Increased libido. I know that my boyfriend is super glad about this one. :P

3. Increased energy and motivation.

4. Ability to see life in a shade other than gray. There is some black and some white but colors too. It's pretty!

5. My metabolism has increased and I am starting to shed some of these stubborn cymbalta pounds. I no longer have the desire to graze all the time without getting any satisfaction from what I was eating.

6. I have an increased sense of self worth since this takes great strength to persevere.....and that's what I am doing.

We are all strong and can do this!

    I'm getting free of antidepressants!

Thanks for your posts.
I've been off the drug for just over 4 weeks and I'm not having those brain things anymore and I just feel a bit clearer. I have times when I'm in a pit but I'm getting better at not taking them too seriously and I just come out of them after a while. It's really nice to see that others are going through the same stuff I am. I don't like to see others in the type of pain I'm in but it's good to know I'm not alone. It gives me hope that I can finally persevere and be free of these drugs.
The single most important thing that's helped me is recognizing the true nature of the mind -- by studying Buddhism.
Be well,
Shortstuff
