Was on Cymbalta 60mg. about 3 yrs. Stopped c/t when I lost my ins. Horrible w/d. Now back on and weaning slowly. Still suffering. Looking for help from people who have been there. Been tapering for 2 months, and down about 9 mg.

I've been tapering for almost a year. I make tiny drops every few weeks. I have fairly bad symptoms
after every drop, usually last for a week or so. Usually it's very bad fatigue and sleepiness, headaches,
joint pain, sometimes some irritablilty. I have had no nausea or anxiety in many months. I made a drop
about 3 weeks ago, less than 1 mg. About a week ago, I started feeling really bad, with constant nausea, some
diarrhea, anxiety, fatigue. The nausea just won't go away. The anxiety is better but not gone. It's just
not my normal symptoms after a drop, and hit much later than usual. The health anxiety has set in. I can
usually ride it out pretty well, because I know it will pass. This time I've been scared. I'm trying to convince
myself but I just don't understand all the new symptoms, lasting so long, after a tiny drop. I just need a
little encouragement. This is just w/d , right? It will pass, right? By the way, I was on 60mg for about 4yrs,
and am only down to 43mg.

I know that I read too much on the internet. I don't know if this is interesting to
anyone else, but I read that when you reduce Cymbalta, your body releases a lot of
histamine. I found an article that listed histamine-induced symptoms, exactly what I've
been having: facial flushing, heart palpitations, nausea, headache, and sometimes
heart arrythmias. I've been having all these for a couple of weeks, except for the arrythmias.
Maybe it at least makes sense to me now.
