I am freaking out. I am familiar with some of the withdrawl symptoms of Cymbalta from just skipping 1 or 2 doses. After reading others posts, I am even more scared. I recently lost my job due to funding
(no fault of mine) and will be without insurance after June 30th, 2011. I inquired about cost of Cymbalta without insurance but it is expensive. I currently take lamotrigine 100 mg, cymbalta 60 mg and omerprazole (for my acid reflux). All together the cost would be $300 or so. I cannot afford this at all.

Right now I find myself needing to get off Cold Turkey or very quickly. I only have enough pills for 4 weeks of Cymbalta and 6 weeks of Lamotrigine. Any suggestions of how I should do this? Has anyone ever tortured themselves by doing it cold turkey and how long it the symptoms last. Right now I am at home for the summer so it should be easier than for others who had to work.

Please give me advice.

I recently posted my story of decreasing from 60mg per day to, now, 2.1mg. I have done this with a one-month supply, less actually. I filled my prescription on May 4, and I still have enough pills left to finish weaning off of the meds. I think that if you just try decreasing by one milligram per day, or maybe two, it'll be much easier. (I purchased some clear gel capsules on Amazon to make smaller doses.)

Good luck!

I have been taking 60mg for at least 2years. I started out on 90mg then my Dr. moved me to 120mg. That Dr. was just a pill pusher, If I told him I wasn't tolerating a drug very well, he would just open his cabinet and say, well what else should we try. I finally found a different Dr. and I dropped myself down to 60mg. I have been taking Cymbalta for over 4 years. I moved myself down to 30mg, but I have not been taking it at all for over a week now.
Sometimes I black totaly out and feel as if I am falling. My head feels very strange and the only way to explain it is that it feels like JELLO. I am very sensetive to alot of medication, and when I first started taking this, I felt like it was a wonder drug, because I could tolerate it. I took this for severe depression and was also seeing a therapist. I had a stress related breakdown with PTSD. I also have a panic anxiety disorder with disociation. I just need some one to help me. How long will I feel the withdraw symtoms from this?
