Consulted my Dr today regarding titrating off Cymbalta, he suggested using it every other day.
Read a post that said it was not a good idea and explaning why, but can not located it.
Would appreciate help in locating it.
Thanks.

Was on Cymbalta 60mg. about 3 yrs. Stopped c/t when I lost my ins. Horrible w/d. Now back on and weaning slowly. Still suffering. Looking for help from people who have been there. Been tapering for 2 months, and down about 9 mg.

Hi Joe,
Actually there are many posts discussing the every other day taper. Hopefully someone will come along

who knows how to direct you to those. Basically, when you take a dose every other day, you are putting

your brain through withdrawal every other day. It puts your brain through a lot of chaos. It's much better

to take a certain amount each day so your brain has a chance to adjust to each new dosage as you taper.

I probably didn't explain it well, hope someone else can make it clearer for you. Good luck!

Thanks Lundeliz, appreciate your response, it is helpful.

If someone does know of a specific post(s) I can share with my Doc, I'd be grateful.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences, taking the time to write about them and alerting us newbies to the potential problems/dangers of tapering of Cymbalta.

I've learned a lot from your collective knowledge and appreciate your individual stories and solutions; otherwise I'd have no clue and probably repeat the many wrong paths to getting of Cymbalta.
