Hi everyone,
My husband is off the cymbalta cold turkey - mainly because he had a reaction that put him in the hospital. He has had many of the symptoms listed here but is having a few others that I attribute to the Cymbalta. I just wanted to know if anyone else is having any problems like:
not only brain zaps, but spacing out for up to a minute - I have epilepsy and these episodes seem almost seizure like? Sometimes he appears to be awake (kind of like sleeping with his eyes open - but only for a minute or so) and other times his speech is slurred (as if he is talking to me being half awake). Thanks again for this forum - it's very helpful to have people to talk to who understand this!

I had both, slurred speech and episodes of spacing out. I also had seizures and difficulty finding words. I didn´t quit cold turkey, I tapered slowly for a year.

I am the victim of Cymbalta withdrawals. I am hoping to find a network of support and information regarding this. And to help others that are experiencing the same.

when I discussed the WD symptoms with my Pharmicist tonight and while she was looking up stuff on her computer she asked me if I had seizures. I haven't. But thought I would share this with you.

From what I´ve read on this site from others people´s experiences, it is better to take the medication everyday than it is to alternate days. So instead of taking 60mg every other day, you can take a lower dose EVERYDAY and taper slowly. Cymbalta comes in 60mg, 30mg and 20mg presentations. So maybe you could consider taking 60mg for a period, then 50mg, then 40mg, then 30mg, then 20mg.
For example to take 50mg you could take a 30mg pill and a 20mg pill. For 40mg you could take two 20mg pills, etc.
