What Happens If Stop 60Mg Cold Turkey?

Or if you quit by taking (1)one 60mg pill every other day for a week and the (2) one 60mg pill every 3rd day for a week and so on?
Why does it have to be so slow?
Been on 60mg about 2yrs maybe a bit more
