Hi
I tried to come off of Cymbalta this summer past from 30 mg and it nearly killed me- I had brain zaps, dizziness, nausea, vomitting, confusion, not able to eat, cold sweats and at times, not able to speak.
So i had to go back on it and my doctor has prescribed a lower dose of 15 mgs. I took the pescription to a compounding pharmacy and they were able to compound it for me. So, 15 mg I was ok for a month. I am now on 10mgs and off of work because of similar withdrawal. I will be seeing a pychiatrist in a couple of days and that is my advice you. Family doctors do not know the potency of this drug yet and it will end up killing someone before the company will come out with smaller doses. So yes, you just need your doctor to write you up a script for a lower dose. Good luck to you
