Hi, I was taking Cymblata about 2 years, up until March of this year. I was prescribed 60mg per day, but felt weird, so I reduced down to 60mg every other day and it was great. I went through a divorce last summer, through the Christmas holidays and touted how great Cymbalta was to everyone who asked why I seemed to not have had many really bad days. In March I just went cold turkey and stopped taking it at all, and had no problems other than my sex drive was through the roof.

Well, here it is October and I am an emotional wreck!! I met a woman in July and we have become very close, but still not dating, more like best friends. I have feelings for her, but am not sure if I'm ready for a realationship just yet at all and she isn't, she just got out of a bad relationship too, so we're taking things very slowly. Anyway, since meeting her, I can cry at the least little thing and am so emotional about everything. It is causing problems with her, my job, my friends, my family, just about everything in my life. I'm thinking about restarting the Cymbalta, but not sure.

My question is, could what I'm feeling now, be caused by withdrawing sudenly back in March? I wouldn't think so, but after reading some of the horror stories on this forum, I'm not so sure now.

Thanks for any input!!

I am not in your situation, but I would never recommend getting back on the med. Cymbalta has hurt so many people!!! Maybe this is just you actually dealing with your feelings without them being masked by the drug??? I am going through this right now. I am 4 months off Cymbalta 90mg for 3 1/2 years and I am still having crying spouts, rage, & depressive feelings. But everyday gets a little better & I know WE "all of those trying to live life normally without the Cybalta) can do this medication free!!!! Keep your chin up!! Good Luck!!!
