I did not come on here to start a lawsuit.
I came on here for support.
If I were TOLD at the time this prescription was first filled for me that if I ever wanted to stop that I would experience this terrible withdraw, I would have NEVER started it.
I KNOW that this works very well for SOME people.... Good.....
Me, personnally, I do not want to take a medication that alters my body's chemistry SO much that I have to go through weeks to months of withdraw to stop.
In my opinion (and, yes, I am ALLOWED an opinion), that is a form of dependence.... Maybe not the same type as alcohol or street drugs, but it IS a physiological dependence....
So before you EXPLODE on a site where all we are here for is for support through this terrible ordeal, do your research and read ALL the posts....
and if you don't like it... LEAVE

I suffer from fibromyalgia & had deaths in the family ( one only 19) then my own son suffered a terrible work accident resulting in 3rd degree burns. All this led to depression. Cymbalta - 60mg for over 2 years - helped me shut off from all of this but it kept me that way. I did not want to socialize with anyone. I just lived in a cocoon.
I was warned what would happen if I stopped. I stopped anyway.
The point people are making here is that from their own experiences, this poison (and being a sufferer I'm entitled to call it that) is the worst they have known to withdraw from. Some have said as bad or worse than heroin. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't heroin illegal? So why isn't this shit then!
Can you tell me why you go on & off this drug if it's so good?!
One more thing, IF YOU'VE READ THE LEAFLET you'll see one of the side effects of
withdrawal is anger & aggression. If people can't vent here where they're not hurting anyone that aggression could materialize. All we're doing is listening & supporting each other & in some ways helping to stop any extreme behavior by understanding & encouraging others to 'stay strong - this will end'.
Unless you can play the game here & help rather than hinder - rack off! You're not wanted.

It is the doctors responsibility both legally and ethically to relay information such as potential major side effects when prescribing a medication.
Did you know that a potential (deadly) side effect of the statins (for cholesterol... such as zocor and lipitor) is severe muscle pain (which is called rhabdomyalitis)???
Did you know that the over the counter TUMs can decrease the effect of digoxin (a very potent heart medication that is very important to keep blood levels at a constant)???Did you know that GRAPEFRUIT products can cause an interaction with the following medications: Buspirone (BuSpar), Antiarrhythmia - Amiodarone (Cordarone), Antidepressant - Sertraline (Zoloft),
Antihistamine - Fexofenadine (Allegra),. Anti-seizure - Carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Tegretol), Calcium channel blocker (BP medication) - Nifedipine (Procardia), nimodipine (Nimotop), nisoldipine (Sular), Statin - Simvastatin (Zocor), lovastatin (Mevacor), atorvastatin
I would make a bet that you didn't know ANY of these (if you are taking one of these medications).... But a TRAINED M.D. is supposed to know it and have to tell the patient...
But these days, a doctors reimbursement is from insurance companies are so low that they are "pushed" to see a patient every 10 minutes...
And when one doctor says its ok to go cold turkey and another says it is not, who are you supposed to believe?????

I am very highly educated, thank you!!
You don't seem to be living in reality - except yours (and you are surely not looking at the "whole" picture for some people... You definately don't have the gift of empathy
I am VERY busy, as I'm sure many people on this site are. In this economy, it is lucky to have a job/career.... It is frustrating to those who are working (in or out of the home) to have to go through weeks and months of withdrawl while having to work, take care of their children, care for their homes, etc
So, please, think about other people besides yourself.... We have a right to have this site for support!

Do ya think we might put this wanker back in his his box? Jeez I hope so. That kind of post on here could really stuff up the progress of those teetering on the edge.
The only one "miseducated" here is our friend Isostupid (sic) - sorry Isotonic2011.
I'm in Australia but we get a lot of American shows on tv here - one of my favorites is That
70's Show. So in the words of Red - DUMBASS!!

I just want to say to newbie and isotoner, you are not helping anybody here. You are ugly, mean and hateful. SHAME ON YOU! Who do think you are? How DARE YOU say those things to us! We are here for help, already in a weak and fragile condition and this drug has affected us all, YOU being the prime example of how we dont want to be! But that is what this drug has done to us! I slapped my son the other day and had not a clue as to what made me do that! I felt horrible about it. Cymbalta has made me feel like I am losing my mind and all control over myself! I cannot be a good wife or mother under these circumstances. I contemplated eating a whole months prescription of zanex because I figured it would be the most peaceful way to go, and the least horrific for my loved ones. I hate it! YOU DONT KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE ME! I would rather be in physical pain than in mental anguish.

I lost everything I had because I went nuts and can't remember half of the two years I was on it and put a .40cal to myself and pulled trigger only to wake up to realize I was shot. I died twice and 3 days later went back into comatose state. So you have no business saying quit crying you babies.
Take your ass somewhere else because you obviously don't give a damn about your life. I've been off for 5months now and I looked like a junkie going through withdraws. Finally my head is clear and you damn right I'm pissed at this company.
I've been a pipeline welder for 9 years and I would still run circles around you, but with this I'm having to try and get soulmate to see that this medicine will screw you up. Have a good day and maybe you'll appreciate life and help others a little better rather than bad mouth them
