I was on a very low dose (20 mg per day) of Cymbalta for about 2 months. I have been off the Cymbalta for about 3 days now and I am having some withdrawal issues such as my hands and fingers tingling and high blood pressure readings in the evening after I eat dinner. The high blood pressure, hands tingling, constant constipation, and the lightheaded feeling after getting up from a lying position were the main reasons for me discontinuing the Cymbalta.

My doctor had initially prescribed 30 mg of Cymbalta for me for my anxiety. I tried the 30 mg twice and it did the same thing twice. My blood pressure immediately shot up way high and I then told my doctor that I am NOT going to take the 30 mg of Cymbalta. He basically insisted that I try the Cymbalta and fight through the high blood pressure. But the high blood pressure was causing me more panic attacks so I told him I would take the 20 mg instead and that seemed to be ok for while. I am very sensitive to medication.

I would take this 20 mg around 6pm every night. Then I switched to taking it at 9pm every night because I didn't feel that well after taking it and wanted it closer to bedtime. Now, I am still having tingling sensations in my hands and fingers (something that NEVER happened before Cymbalta) and every evening after I eat my blood pressure goes up for about 2 hours. This also did not happen until I went on the Cymbalta. Has anyone here experienced tingling in the hands and fingers and high blood pressure? How many days should this last seeing as I was only taking 20 mg for about 2 months?

Lots of good help around here. Looks like I'm on my own while I get away from Cymbalta.
