Had to come off Cymbalta b/c I got pregnant...was on it for major depression issues. I've been on and off psych drugs for over a decade. Now I have nothing. Needless to say I am a MESS. And just looking for some hope that this won't last. I'm kind of scared, actually.

Has anyone had to deal with the withdrawal hell and first-trimester pregnancy issues? I'm a freaking mess. Want nothing to do with most people (ESPECIALLY my husband, no matter what it is), want to hide away from everything, and I am either angry or totally detached. Hard to focus, hard to concentrate, can't remember anything (which makes starting a new position HARD). The head stuff is what it is. I'm more concerned with how I am emotionally/mentally. Everything that I struggled with before is intensified - the combo of pregnancy and withdrawal is NOT nice. Which in turn drives me to shut down even more...and I feel totally out of control. I know that it is best for the baby to be off the meds - but this really scares me some days. I'm still in the early stages of being without it - probably a week. God help me get through this. I know I can't do much about the pregnancy stuff, but for real - something has to give.

I'm curious how ur doing now? I'm a week late and terrified to take a test. I stopped cynbalta cold turkey just in case and missed three days of work. My husband is trying but does not get it at all. I tried last year to reduce the dosage before stopping but I had withdrawl anyways. I was off for a few months before my anxiety kicked in again. Back to square one and miserable!!!

I am 2 weeks since my last pill (felt rotten for a few days right after I stopped then started feeling really good, feel amazing now). Started weaning in November 2011 (felt crappy throughout). Since then, I've had all symptoms of pregnancy, but ironically many of them are the same as cymbalta withdrawal. I totally thought I was pregnant sort of around the same time I started weaning. But negative hpts everytime I test for pregnancy. November visit from Aunt Flo was weird. And no sign of my Dec period yet. My husband and I have been trying to conceive. Who knows.....seeing the doc on Jan 5.

Did your hpts come back positive right away? Wondering if all the change in my body is affecting the hcg levels getting to my urine?

I started weaning around the endof october from 60 down to 30 mg. Through the holidays I decided to stay on the 30mg but then on 12/30 I found out that I was pregnant. I'm almost 6 weeks today. I took the hpt about 6 days after my missed period and it showed up positive instantly. I took 3 hpt and they were all positive and got a positive confirmation from my primary doc that I am indeed pregnant. After that I decided to just stop taking the cymbalta immmediately. vertigo, ringing in my ears, brain fog and zaps are the extent of my withdrawl at this point which is the same that I felt while taking beads out to get myself from 60 to 30.
