I have been off Cymbalta for four weeks.

I went on Cymbalta for anxiety and chronic pain. I was on it for approx. 1 year. My husband is a body freak, in the sense that he doesnt like to put chemicals in his body, not even Tylenol for headaches. I couldn't afford the medication any more so I took my husbands advice, and I quit.

Today, I have vomited 7 times and still feel like I could some more. My head is pounding.Flu like/Morning sickness/Motion sickness/diarrehea/ night sweats/ tingling in my lips and left arm/ muscle spasms/ fatigue/ dry mouth/ give a $hit meter tapped, just to name a few. This has been a constant feeling since coming off the medication. It seems as if all are getting worse instead of getting better.

Tad bit scared after reading this site...is there an end to this? I have a new job with four kids (one that has disabilities.) I cant afford to be off work! Now I want to cry because I feel like I screwed up royally.

My mother was prescribed Primpro, which I am seeing the sister drug Primrose being recommended on this site. There is a huge class action lawsuit due to it causing Breast Cancer...Which my mother lost her breast to. Is there any organic food that can help with the symptoms?!? I don't want to keep the cycle going by taking a pill to help side effects from a different pill.

Have you talked to your doctor? Of course you can read all the posts and see that cold turkey is a bit of a nightmare. I have to say that I many of your symptoms (except I just think I am going to vomit but don't) and I have been weaning off as gradually as the available dosages allow. You could talk to your doctor about going on a different drug which might help you come off more easily. If I didn't have to wait so long between psychiatrist appts, I would be talking to them about switching to fluoxetine as it leaves your system more slowly. With all respect to your husband and his beliefs, he is not in your body, experiencing your symptoms. I don't think it's a betrayal of your marriage if you take some anti-sickness drugs like travel sickness medicine.

Also, I have read that most people find that their symptoms last for a month so maybe this is the storm before the calm.

Best of luck
