After 5 years of taking Cymbalta, I decided to wean off.
Why? Cause I miss ONE dose and start to withdraw!!! I don't want to be on anything my body is physically dependant on

I was initially prescribed it for anxiety... A lot of stuff going on in my family causing a lot of anxiety

So I first taper... 60 mg to 40 mg for 2 weeks.. then 20 mg for 2 weeks.. then stop

The withdraw hit me like a ton of bricks...

Nausea, dizziness, VERY irritable, panic feeling all the time, some disassociation, loss of words...

I was scared.... Didn't know if this was forever or not...

Took Dramamine almost every day for the symptoms... No doctor could give me any idea how long this would last..

During the first week I was on 0 cymbalta, I noticed pain.... PAIN in my back and hip.... and this PAIN has NOT gone away although the withdraw has...

The withdraw lasted about 2 months.... (For those going through it now) but my PAIN has stayed... !!!!

I have a feeling whatever has caused this pain was there and Cymbalta was masking the pain (as you know Cymbalta is also used for neuropathic pain)....

So .. I was probably doing things I should not have (and do not now) because of the pain.... AND MADE IT WORSE!!! (and all the specialist I have seen agrees with me)

I'M SO MAD I COULD SPIT!!!!

Now... I might have a lifetime of pain because of CYMBALTA!!!!
