Hi

Had an informative conversation with a pharmacist today. He pointed out it takes 2-6 wks for the drug to be fully effective when you start it so expect the same time period for the withdrawal. He was concerned that my depression still be controlled.

He suggested treating the withdrawal effects individually. He recommended an over the counter anti-nausea drug called Domperidone, marketed in the UK as Motilium, for the nausea and dizziness. Looks like you could take it safely for 2 weeks. Also, take painkillers for the headaches. Now clearly you can't take headache tablets for more than 3 days straight as you are likely to run into another set of problems but you could take them sometimes.

I have also found that holding a hot water bottle against my face is helping with the headaches.

Eating every hour is also helping. Drinking a cup of boiled water (don't scald yourself!) is settling my stomach more than a hot tea.

I have found that my breathing is shallow because I am feeling a little panicky with the nausea. A conscious effort to take more deep breaths has been helpful.

Keeping myself distracted helps. Spending ages on this forum obsessing about my symptoms is probably not helping!!!

Talking to my doctor about what is happening has also been reassuring.

Thank you for sharing this! Has you doctor mentioned anything about the 'brain zaps' or disorientation? Or are you not experiencing much of that end of the side effects?

Hi
I haven't had brain zaps but have felt disorientated at times. Now on about day 17 at zero and that is clearing along with the other symptoms.
