I am new to the site and have questions about weaning off Cymbalta. I have been on Cymbalta 60mg once daily for about a year and a half for fibromyalgia. My fibromyalgia began as a result of back and muscle damage from a car accident. I have not had any improvement at all while on Cymbalta, and only stayed on it this long to see if it would help after my back surgery, which it hasn't. I spoke with my Neurosurgeon's assistant on Tuesday, who is a nurse practioner, about weening off the Cymbalta. She told me to take one 60mg pill every other day for a week and then stop taking it, and I should be fine. I am very skeptical about her advice and wanted to get some opinions as to what I should do. The only other meds I am on are Percocet 7.5mg for pain, Baclofen(muscle relaxer), Mobic(anti-inflammatory), and Remeron for sleep. I have never had any problems with depression or anxiety or anything similar. Thanks for any help you can give.
