It's day 7.. cold turkey from 20mg.

Day 5 was the worst. I was buzzing and lightheaded and jittery and anxious and shaking and crying. Then *poof* it all stopped and I felt like myself again. I get a tiny bit of lightheadedness and body buzz but it's so mild I can practically ignore it.

Day 6 was like normal. Mild buzz. Mild dizziness. I could totally cope.

Day 7 started normal, but now I have a low grade fever. MY normal temp is 96.8 (not 98.6). I'm 99 right now. I have felt chilly all day.

Has anybody gone into serotonin syndrome because of withdrawal?

Greeneyes....I don't know what serotonin syndrome is, but I can relate to the fever. Almost the entire time I was withdrawing, I had fever/chills. I felt like I had the flu, with other symptoms also. GI trouble, nausea, vomitting, dizziness and balance issues.

It will get better.....hang in there. You are at a very early stage, and sometimes it's hard to remember that it will pass when you are in the thick of it. You can do it.......read and see all the people that have succeeded. You can be successful, too, and you will!! Just hang in there, and keep coming here and asking for help. This site can be a huge support for you!!

Oh, I had all of that, but it left in an instant on day 5. I'm back to myself 90%. NOW I have a fever. Very strange.

It's possible the fever is from withdrawals, but don't rule out obvious possibilities too quickly. The fever could be from a virus or infection you picked up. Perhaps the withdrawal affected your immune system and you picked up a "bug."

I did some research a while back on Seratonin Syndrome (which I think I developed when my dr increased my dosage from 60 mgs to 90 mgs). If I remember correctly, it is basically when the body has too much Seratonin. Depending on what supplements or meds you are taking right now, your Seratonin levels could be too high which could cause Seratonin Syndrome. If you are taking supplements or meds, re-evaluate them to determine if they could be having a negative effect rather than helping you. Talk to your dr because Seratonin Syndrome can be very dangerous.

I had the fever during week 2 of my cold turkey withdrawal from 60 mg. I am into week 4 now and it seems to be gone. I am starting to feel pretty normal now. Still a few zaps, a little dizzy but all things considered feeling pretty good. I think I am going to make it. Good luck and good health.

Does anyone have recurring fever and pain all over? I've been off cymbslta 8 weeks now but these "flu-like" episodes keep recurring. I'll get horrible chills, pain all over, GI distress and a fever around 100. After a few days it will subside but then it will come back again. I am so scared because it doesn't seem to be any less intense with each recurring episode.
