Can anyone help me?

I'm writing from Finland.. I have use Cymbalta almost two years. And my dose is now 30mg, BUT it have been 60mg. Last spring I dropped it to 30mg, and next I took it to every other day.. Then my doctor recommend me to take again 60mg for a day,because for my back pain. And I was so stupid and went to it. Well the drug didn't help in my pain and cause side effects. Then I have to again drop it to 30mg. After that withdrawal began... Sickness, shaking, headache, flutter, dizzines etc.. Almost every day I cant rise my bed in the morning. I'm so sick ja tired. My dose have been also 30mg-> 60, every other day.. and now almost week ago I again dropped my dose to 30mg. I don't know what can I do? My withdrawal is so bad that sometimes I just want to die.. How long withdrawal would last?? Can anyone tell me that? I have 3 months in this shape.. :cry:

That sounds rational option change the drug.. I have to call my doctor tomorrow.. You cant believe it how hard was find the drugs you mention.. Prozac=seronil, lexapro= Ciparamil, celexa= Cipalex. So funny, same drugs but so different names our country..
Do you have experience how it work, if the drug change? Does withdrawals really disappear?? Your words really cheer up me.. Thanks so match!

Another awful morning..

Time is now 10.43am and I'm feeling nauseas all ready. :x
I tryed to contact my doctor, mut she is not around today. Maybe she calls me tomorrow. I hope so! I have to demand that she change the drug. Prozac (seronil) sounds good. Greybeard: How long your withdrawals last? And how long is that you stop taken the Cymbalta? I'm so happy that I found this site!! Thanks so match for the information.. I just have to hope that seronil would be the answer to my proplem.. Well maybe I have to try go to school today, even if my feeling is this bad. Cymbalta is awful awful drug!!!!!! :evil:

Greybeard, your story was a terrible! I'm so sorry that you have had so hard experience. But that is so admirable that now you wan't to help others.. And try to stop this cymbalta thing.. I have heard "Serotonin Toxcity Syndrome", and it could be very dangerous.. I'm pleased that you survived that!

My doctor contact me and today I took first Seronil (Prozac).. Yesterday I didn't take Cymbalta at all. I start taken seronil 20mg.. My withdrawals was yesterday and this morning terrible than never before, but now is past 5 hours when I took seronil, and my position is little better.. Maybe this drug will help me.. And now I don't take Cymbalta at all. I want to thank you Greyberad so much!! Worst withdrawal is now flutter, but I hope that seronil relieves that..

I'm so thankfull for all the advices that you gave me!

I'm so glad your dr gave you the new drug. I took Prozac and it helped alot!! You might still have a few days of feeling bad, but hopefully the worst is over for you. Good Luck!!

Hi again!

Well maybe I sayed too early that my position was better, not anymore.. My heart is beating so fast and I have had also arrhythmia. These symptoms are withdrawls for a Cymbalta, and they got worse when I did not take the cymbalta day before yesterday. But my doctor sayed that I must be without cymbalta one day before I can take the Prozac.. She sayed something about serotonin toxcity sydrome. But I just have to hope that prozac will compensate my withdrawls in the long run.

It's nice to hear that prozac is help others.. That gives me hope! So thanks Attorney_Victim that you tell me about it.. I have had thinking how terrible it is, that this kind of drugs feed to people. It is so wrong, and greybeard you are so right that the patients must know more than doctors, in nowadays..

Laura, don't worry about your grammer mistakes! You are understood and honestly we all here make them also, the English language is so confusing with all the rules we who are born with it have a hard time.
I'm so sorry you are having a hard time but the Prozac should help so just hang on. There are lots of suggestions on coping with all the withdrawal symptoms & you just have to look around and read the different posts to find them. The main thing is to create a calm and soothing space for yourself. If you can't do that with your entire living area then try to make a room where you can go to retreat from the pressures of everyday life. You need a healing space to be relaxed and keep your system from being over stimulated, some place where you can have maybe a cup of nice herbal tea and listen to some soothing music. Sometimes total silence is just too much, you focus on what's going on internally instead of being distracted and relaxed. I think sleeping a little extra also helps as your body does it's best healing when you are sleeping. Yoga or some gentle stretching, going for an easy walk or any exercise that is calming is also good. I'm sure you will get many more helpful suggestions from other people here and that's all I can think of for now. I know it's easy to loose your self confidence, just try to keep in mind no one knows you better than you! This Cymbalta seems to create a detachment from everything, including yourself which you have to re-establish. I hope you are soon feeling better.

I'm not a doctor, but I've done a lot of research about Cymbalta and Prozac. The Cymbalta is out of your system within 8 hours of your last dose, so there is not a danger of Seratonin Syndrome when starting the Prozac. In fact, some doctors prescribe Prozac AND Cymbalta for a few days. So, if you haven't had any Cymbalta in the last 12 hours, and you feel bad, then you might want to consider taking the Prozac. Just my opinion...there is no need for you to suffer needlessly.

I have taken Prozac 4 days, and be without Cymbalta 5 days.. My withdrawals are terrible now.. Prozac not yet helped at all. My heart is still beating really fast and arrhythmia is bad. My Prozac dose is now 20mg, my doctor sayed that maybe we can raise the dose little bit. But not yet, maybe next week. What dose you have taken the Prozac?
Bobbie your tips was good and put me to think everything. I have stress so much for everything. And now I have realize that I have to take it easy and give my self to time.. Maybe next week I will feel better than now, I hope so! This site is helped me alot, I don't know what I have done without this..
