There are 2 poems . I wrote them during different times in my life. Can you relate to one or neither? Here is the first one>>>>>

Feeling rather sad today, just like the ones before
living in a life of gloom, wonder if there are more?
If the sun should shine straight into my eyes,It would cast a shadow or just a few more lies.
Maybe if I could sing a song or play a tune so sweet!
I`d not be walking down... a lonley crowded street

Life`s little mercies dance before my eyes,
fluttering here and there , untill they make me cry.
I run and try to catch them, reaching... here and there
if only i could catch just one! I would nourish it with care!
The sun again might glimmer
rays of warmth or doubt
Again the tender mercies, Flutter all about.....

POEM 2

One sunny day, dark clouds came my way.
terrible storms,with torrents of rain
thunder and lightening :hurt and pain

For years it was dark:sunshine replaced
longing of lost :memories faced.
ceaselessly unending :power held no slack
trying different ways,to get my sunshine back!

The darkness began ceasing ,slowly at first
bringing small warmth and suddenly a burst!
where did it come from:the angels above?
perhaps a angel opened a door with love.

The sun started shining ,cleansing my soul
removing the guilt:making me whole
examine with eyes... the way life should be
I thanked "my" angel ;hoping I am free!

Sometimes dark clouds, still come my way
a darkened path:like that long ago day
when it does,"my" angel comes through
holding my hand and leading back to....

Where warmth of sunshine ,shines upon my face
angelic love given by grace
joyful memories...of all that is dear
reaping laughter to all that is near....

How about some traditional 7 5 Haiku?

Geese are flying south today
I wish I were they

Or maybe something along the lines of Bukowski? Something I just whipped up spontaneously. I am a WV son.

All of my life the coal train has run fifty feet from my front door
Three times daily
The dust coats my home, my clothes, my heart, and my soul
If you open my veins my blood would run thick and black
As black as my grandfathers lungs when he died
As black as the future sometimes appears
But with a flame that blackness burns bright and hot
Could you be that flame?

Hey Mokicaid and devine chemical, I made this one up this morning ...

What went wrong with you today
What went wrong, he said !
Oh,... Just a difficult problem
that sent me to my bed.

Get up and do something
Force yourself ,he said !
Instead of looking.. his way
I closed my eyes instead.

And dreamed the dreams
that most folks dream
that most folks never see.....
Were I was one of them
And they was one of me

Very cool divine chemical. I used to write haiku in my head constantly. Be careful its addictive. To Marbles: Its about sex.

Marbles, Haiku is a writing style. There are several types of haiku. I prefer the traditional two line haiku which has seven syllables in the first line and five in the second. Rhyming is a bonus. Subject is anything you want it to be. Try it. It's a lot of fun but addictive
