Thank you so much hOUDI for your kindness. Today was not as good as yesterday...but I keep trudging on...You know I was reading that Billy Graham< don`t know if I spelled that last word correct but I read that his daughter had some kind of mental depression...and she (daughter) wrote about how she felt like a failure compared to her parents and growing up in church.Later she accepted God was not going to heal her and she learned how to adapt.,she also felt having God and her church family helped her tremendously.Ithought that was very interesting.......also you friend....shirl.. ps how are you doing with this changing weather and fibromyalgia?....shirl

Hey Houdi...your not whining just sharing your experiences. We wouldn't be much good on this board to ourselves or each other if all we did was gushed like Pollyanna's :shock: ...in fact there wouldn't be any need for any of this! Being a fellow FM'er I know just dealing with that is enough & way more than a person should have to suffer, being given a drug that is suppose to help us feel better and getting Cymbalta is criminal to my way of thinking. That is awful about your hearing, I almost had a detached retinaa couple of weeks ago. I found a reference to that under obscure Cymbalta side effects but nothing on hearing....yet. I will certainly keep your experience in mind as I continue my research. I am especially interested in side effects from this so called med that are obscure and not widly publicized(admitted to) by Lilly. I took my last tapered dose last night so I'm not sure how I'm going to be functioning, so far it's been the usual withdrawal symptoms.
We have been fighting foreclosure on our home for a while now & just found out when our mortgage was sold the new company quit paying the taxes & insurance. We found this out when we got the notice of tax sale in the mail several days ago! To say I'm not handling it well would be a joke. What makes this so horrible is just 4 years ago the state forced us to sell our paid off home so they could put in a parking lot for a school behing us they were reopening. As they were buying a number of properties for that they also essentially set the market value.
Ok...now I've vented some, just wanted to share this so hopefully I'll be understood if I get scattered and off track some times. Ha ha...if now I'm trying to be a comedian :roll: You know how they say"you have to laugh to keep from crying",
well I'm laughing and it's not keeping me from crying...I'm getting good at doing both at the same time.
