I was hospitalized about a couple of months ago (going through Cymbalta Withdrawal) when I had an episode of cronic votiming that lasted for 24 hours. I was vomiting my entire insides and the nausea wouldn't stop. In the hospital they gave me, between other things to help with dehydration, an anti-nausea medication. I don't recall the name of the medicine, but I can tell you it worked like magic. Since then, I have used it a couple of times when facing too much nausea from the withdrawals and It's been great. the only side effect that causes is it knocks you down to sleep after half hour, so it is not a good idea to take it if you're working, or driving, etc. I will check the name of the medicine and I will post it here for anyone who's interested. I don't know if this medicine had the same principal of working with serotonin, but it worked to help with the withdrawals!

Cheers

I am nearly 60 days from my last dosage of Cymbalta ( I was on 20mg for 9 mos. Before that, I was on 60 mg for 12 mos., and then 30 mg. for about 3 mos).

I was experienceing 'spot nausea' until about two weeks ago. That is, sudden and powerful pain in the stomach, followed sometimes by a strong wave of nausea. The stomach pain was akin to that one feels just as food poisoning is coming on.

These episodes began about 3 weeks after I stopped Cymbalta. It would tend to happen at night for some reason.

Like so many of these awful "discontinuation symptoms", it took me a while to realize what caused it.
