We mostly talk about the physical symptoms that come with the cymbalta withdrawal, but what about the emotional ones?? I'm wondering if anybody else have gotten this feeling of "waking up" after years of been asleep....I'm currently at 20mg Cymbalta, after 2 years of 60mg and slowly weaning down to the current dose. Besides all the physical side effects that we all know about, in the last couple of weeks I've been getting random memories about things that had happened in different periods of my life. The memories are vivid and detailed. Names, moments, words, faces have surfaced to my mind after years of not thinking about them. I have a melancholic personality and it has not helped to remember things and go back to suffering about lost love ones, years left behind, the way things used to be, etc etc. I'm almost sure it has to do with the fact that the cymbalta kept me numb for all the time I was taking it...but I'm a little scared now about how to deal with this new found "awakeness" after getting used to not feeling anything....

Cheers....

Mctmdream,
Lately, the posts here have focused more on physical symptoms, but for a while, a lot of the posts were about the emotional symptoms. So, if you look back, you will find more info about that. There has been a lot of discussion about the extreme anger, sadness, and mood swings associated with withdrawal. Also a lot of talk about the vivid visual effects in the forms of hallucinations, dreams, nightmares, and memory recall.

Unfortunately, this forum is very unorganized, so it is sometimes hard to find the info you are looking for. (That is one reason some of us started CymbaltaSurvivors.com.) Good luck to you!
