...scared and anxious, but my parents and best friend are helping me through this withdrawal with emotional support, pep-talks and detoxing herbal remedies.
I've been studying Taoist meditation and Chi Gung (inspired by the lovely Jane Alexander) which has helped with my feelings of anxiety, depression and mania. I am not rid of them, but it's amazing how calming breathing properly can be.
I've been drinking 2 cups or more of Yogi detox tea a day, two shot glasses of Apple Cider Vinegar (you get used to the taste after a while) and taking the following suppliments:
Milk Thistle, Vitamin C, Magnesium, B100, Gaba, Alfalfa, Garlic and L-theanine. I'm also reading up on Magnesium Sulfate, and think I might want to add these supplements to my roster.
It's stressful and hard, but it's better than staying on that horrible crap.

rk, your onto something really good, in my opinion. I checked out Jane Alexander on youtube. She is awsome! I have only had time to watch one of her vids...the one about meditation experience and spiritual possession, the link is:

Just want to thank you for posting about her. I'm just getting into Chi Gung so this is very interestion to me & I'm looking forward to having time to watch more of her! Right now I'm staying away from adding anything except a sleect number of nutritionals, I think a person is just too hypersensitive during withdrawals to do herbals yet. The mik thistle sounds like something I might add. The others with the exception of Alfalfa & L-theanine I have taken for some time. The Apple Cider Vinegar is especially good for acid indegestion, even tho it sounds contrary to the advice of mainstream medicine!

Thanks for the replies :(
Since writing this I started taking a little amount again (15 little beads recapsuled) because I started to not be able to feel my tongue, was experiencing slurred speech and disorientation. Since I started taking Cymbalta again the problem immediately vanished. So I think I need to continue the weening process :| It was weird, because I had been fine, and then WHAM.

I had a little problem with my therapist- she told me she thinks I'm exaggerating the effects I experienced on the drug and my withdrawal symptoms. When I point out that I'm not alone, she says I'm falling into group hysterics. I find this hard to believe considering I discovered I was not alone after I started experiencing the negative side effects. I'm not sure if I should find a new therapist or just stop going to therapy altogether. My experiences thus far have been less than stellar and amount to having seven different drugs pushed on me.

I will be taking the advice I received here. It's marvelous and I appreciate the thoughts and help immensely. I will keep you guys updated on how I'm doing.

rosemary.kath,so sorry about your psy. doc...but that's a standard reaction :( I can't answer as to if you should stop going but I would certainly look for a more open minded pdoc...fire her ! You should interview any your concidering firstly by asking them some questions about their take on Cymbalta withdrawals. If you don't like the answers...keep looking. You will find a more enlightened one...they are out there! My doc had the same reaction to my complaints about it, believe me I'm looking for a new one. Take your time on your taper...no need to rush it. Listen to your body and only go less beads when your comfortable doing so. Even if you just take few out at a time and wait for weeks at the same level...you will get there. I hope you find a better doc & are feeling better soon. Like my momma always say's " they can kill you but they can't eat ya!" :D
