This is my first time being off any and all anti-depresants in ten years. I've been on Cymbalta for nearly two of that. I was taking 60 mgs most of that but following the death of my father in April my doc boosted me to 120mgs during most of the summer. I decided that enoughs enough and start tapering 30 mgs at a time down from the 120 starting back August 1st or so. Surprisingly, not many side affects. I've tried in the past to get off this hideous stuff but the withdrawl symps were to bad. I took my last 30mg on last Saturday. The first part of the week with the "head swims" was almost unbearable. Much more severe this last 30mgs than the other decreases. Most of that in a weeks time is gone. However, I'm having bouts of depression and that "impending doom" stuff that I haven't had in years. Am wondering if this is typical and should be gone eventually?? I also am wondering if anyone else has had complicataions with RLS (restless leg syndrome) while on this junk? There is realatively new research that suggest that Cymbalta may make RLS much worse. This is another reason I've had to get away from the Cymbalta is I thought perhaps the RLS would go away. It seems to be about the same or worse even since stopping the Cymbalta altogether. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Taylor

Another withdrawl symptom that is 100 times worse with this final taper off is a temper that would make Adolph Hitler look tame. I'm a very personably people person that wouldn't harm a fly however this week when the slightest thing happened I wanted to rip someones head off! And I would rant about it for a while. Just wanted to throw that in as well. Thanks
