Now, after coming to this site I'm concerned. If I have only taken Cymbalta once will it still take me a long time to get over this? I'm not touching this stuff again. I'm in college and have a ton of work to do but have ZERO motivation, and I'm usually very motivated when it comes to academics. My anxiety is bad enough as it is, and now with this on top of it I feel overwhelmed.

I'm so sorry you had such a awful experience...it just might be your blessing in disguise! I'm not a medical professional but I don't think one dose should have any lasting effect. Please contact your doctor, E.Lilly and the FDA to begin with...any other official reporting agency you can find. I can't think of any more right off the top of my head..I'm sure others will post some along with thier thoughts and suggestions. It's so crucial that we all report any adverse reactions to this drug so it will be controlled much more tightly and maybe even removed from the market! You can help yourself recover more quickly by going to the Nutritional Support area here and trying some of the suggestions there. At least you don't have to go through months of hell because you trustingly took this drug for years before finding out how dangerous it really is. I wish you a speedy recovery and please keep us informed as to how you progress...I'm very interested in your doc's reaction.

Thank you for your advice and kind words. Unfortunately as time progresses I feel worse. Typing is arduous to say the least. I will definitely write to the FDA. This is absolutely unacceptable. How many lives have been affected and even destroyed by this? I do consider myself lucky to catch this early on, however, I think I'll feel luckier when the symptoms abate.
