Cymbalta has turned against me. I am looking for help and support during the lengthy withdrawal process.

I watched this about a year ago. It deals with using food to heal (from even "hopeless" body ailments and disturbances). Very inspirational and eye opening. Obviously most of us are not in the position financially to follow these guidelines to the strictest degree, but still, even small alterations will help the healing process: http://topdocumentar...m/food-matters/

This site also has documentaries about the overuse of psychotropic drugs, but personally I cannot watch those right now. They make me a little angry.

I need help and I know I will feel better if I can offer help to others

I know how you feel. I have had a general doctor who wants to prescribe for the symptoms without trying to find out what is really wrong and he decided that all my problems were due to depression. Well he finally got me on an antidepressant and now I know what depression is all about.

The idiot sent me to a psych doc and she worked entirely from his letter to her about me. The psych doc wants to add more pills too.

I have made improvements just by changing my diet somewhat and wish I had the money to go see a naturalpathic doc.

Drugs in general are used too often which is why everything is so messed up.

Take care

There is a crazy long list of ailments and general body/brain upsets that can mimic symptoms of depression, schizophrenia, manic depression, and anxiety/panic disorders:

*hypothyroidism

*low estrogen(women), low testosterone(men)

*amino acid deficiency

*omega-3 deficiency

*hypoglycemia

*sleep deprivation

*light deprivation

*food additives (such as artificial sweeteners)

*food intolerances (gluten and dairy are the usual offenders)

*inadequate amounts of B and C vitamins

*heavy metal/toxic chemical poisoning

*parasites

*lyme disease

*chronic candida infection

*histadelia (too much histamine in the blood)

*medications used to treat insomnia

*early stage diabetes

*heart disease

*early stage cancers

**not to mention stress from major life upsets**

I could go on and on with this list is the sad part!
