I'm eight days off Cymbalta and am wondering what the "average" length of time for withdrawal symptoms is? My heart is beating out of my chest and my ears have a lovely ringing sound in them. The nausea and vomiting are a nice touch too.

    I have been a member that you have knock off 3 times. I have withdrawn from Cymbalta and supported forum members that are in withdrawal. Find my old posts. I have pleaded with you to clean up this forum, and my thanks is you erasing me....three times! Thanks a lot! I come back here to pay forward what others did for me. You are quite disrespectful to the members of your forum that support others while you let the spammers take over! Shame on you after you started this for a good reason. Is it money now?

You have asked the BIG question. There is no average and it doesn't really seem to be based on how much Cymbalta you have been on or for how long. Some folks taper off, some take another anti-depressant to help take the 'edge' off the withdrawal symptoms, some go cold turkey, and some do a full combination of any of these. This experience is going to take you as long as your body and mind need to get through it. Give yourself patience and time to adjust. There is a real adjustment period even after the drug has completely left your body and mind.

Cruise around the posts here. There are all kinds of posts regarding supplements and OTC medication that help with this withdrawal.
