I need support getting through this...

The one thing that has become obvious as I was going through the hell of Cymbalta withdrawal is that most health care professionals are NOT aware of the horrible withdrawal associated with it. I personally feel very happy to be alive right now because I came closer to suicide while going through Cymbalta withdrawal than I ever have in my life. I am not a suicidal person either; the withdrawal form that drug though was so horrible and overwhelming that I simply could not go on. Thankfully I sought help, but I am afraid for others.

Because I feel this is such a dangerous situation I am intend to write a letter to all of my heath care providers as well as my insurance company. I feel that heath care professionals need to be educated on this and once they are educated on this, they need to be held accountable for the way they deal with patients that are going through this. I do not blame the Doctor's, but obviously Eli Lilly is not going to do anything about this and the only way to help others is through the medical system. If the Doctor's and insurance company's become aware of this and are forced to be accountable when prescribing this, it is going to eventually put pressure on the FDA to consider how very dangerous this drug is.

I am writing a letter this afternoon making my health care providers aware of what I went through, how difficult it was because most health care providers had no idea about the dangers of this drug, and how when dealing with patients in the future they need to be responsible as well as ready to accept accountability for patients outcomes when prescribing this.

After I write it I will post it and urge people to send it to health care providers as well as insurance company's.

This is going to sound corny but as just one person that has experienced this its difficult to make a difference in a system that doesn't seem to hear one voice- as a many though I think we can do something about this. God forbid another person suffer like we have, commit suicide, or harm someone else when it can be prevented through eduction!

I have been a member that you have knock off 3 times. I have withdrawn from Cymbalta and supported forum members that are in withdrawal. Find my old posts. I have pleaded with you to clean up this forum, and my thanks is you erasing me....three times! Thanks a lot! I come back here to pay forward what others did for me. You are quite disrespectful to the members of your forum that support others while you let the spammers take over! Shame on you after you started this for a good reason. Is it money now?

I have started to write the letter but have been bogged down with depression. When I begin to feel better I will post the letter...
