I saw a rheumatologist today and she prescribed Savella. I told her my psychiatrist said it's too similar to Cymbalta.

the rheumy said Savella works more on norepinephrine than serotonin.

I'm so hoping to be out of pain but refuse to go through withdrawal hell again!

Any info and advice would make my day😉😉😉

Now that I have been off this poison for over 6 years, I hope to help others as they join us

Wow, IBS.. .

Sorry, but that's a new one on me.  I'm so afraid to try anything new right now and yet I see my PCP next Mon. and feel that I will need something for mild depression, but the whole idea is frightening right now. I am just so tired of feeling like this.

I still take Hydrocodone for pain and I realize that it's a heavy duty opiate but it works - at least for now.

Liz,

thanks. I am more apt to trust my psychiatrist than a person new to me. However, my mom takes Savella and has no problem. I am going to listen to my gut and not leap into it especially during the holidays.

Liz, I really think you're being smart..it's understandable any of us would be scared silly to face another hellish ordeal...if hydrocodone works and allows you to function better, than that's awesome

I will keep you in prayer about your appointment. Please keep us posted.

loving thoughts,

sarah
