Will you get the long-lasting, post-acute withdrawals after you've had your last dose, no matter how slowly you weaned?

If you wean slowly enough to not have (much) withdrawals as you go, will this happen afterwards?

I know some people wean more quickly to get it overwith, but what is the benefit of that, if that just winds up giving you withdrawals that last far after you're done?

No you will not get acute side effects after the last dose if you wean slowly.

That is the whole point of weaning slowly. Avoiding side effects.

If the weaning is done properly and slowly enough there will be no or only very mild side effects at the end.

I weaned quickly because any dose of Cymbalta made me suicidal and the only way I could stop the suicidal thoughts was to make a large decrease in dose. This did cause me the withdrawal side effects but for me that was better than trying to do away with myself.

You have the opportunity to wean down slowly so that you will not have side effects so please stop worrying about what may or may not happen later. Worrying is one sure way of making yourself feel anxiety when you don't have any reason to feel anxious. Get out there and start enjoying life again and you will not even notice the small decreases in dose.
