I've been on 120mg for 1yr I'm wanting to come off them as "not feeling myself" and know I'm ready. Unfortunately forgot I needed another prescription so since Thursday I've been on 60mg to get me threw the weekend and get into the doctors Monday. Side affects so far are fine if I'm sat down and watching TV but dizzy spell and feeling when I turn my head it takes nearly a minute for my brain to catch up.just wondering if people would recommend staying at 60mg for a bit then drop down again?

Hi Mumof!!

The dizziness is one of the earliest signs of withdrawal. I would suggest you stay at 60 mg for a week or more to be sure it is not going to get worse. we normally recommend bead counting here on this site. This is where you open your capsule and take out a few beads each day. There is usually (but not always) around 200 to 300 tiny beads inside. You remove around 3 more beads each day and it takes around 3 months to wean. However, if you can stand the drop to 60 mg stay there. If things get too bad you can always go back up to say 90 mg and stabilize then start the bead counting.
