5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

You are right Captain, when anxiety is in full mode, I feel the exact same thing. It's like I'm going to die. I just don't but it feels that way.

Speaking of adrenergic state, my doctor switched my asthma pomp to one that is not adrenergic.
She explained it the same way as you did.

Now, tell me, are you a doctor Fisherman?

Hang on HTSP, anxiety has so many "relatives".

No Gail. A Master's in Physiology, a Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Biology and Chemistry  and over 30 years doing environmental engineering including health surveys, toxicology studies and more.

Your sure right Gail about anxiety having a lot of relatives.

Yep, you are a doctor in my book still!

Wow, a lot of background here.

What's beautiful about this is that your ego is not inflated at all! Rare thing, my hat to you!

Thanks Gail, I have had the pleasure and burden of working on state of the art issues with serious potential health risks. No room for ego there. Besides you learn more from listening than talking.

Developing new technology and techniques for chemical engineering and health hazard challenges. Mostly in high risk industries (ones that have dangerous conditions) as well as environmental clean-up sites, chemical emergency response situations, and high risk safety situations.

Had some good days but still very tense due to C I think. As from Friday I'm lowering my C again to 20mg. Anxious for that process...

I think that this will be much better than the last time, with the Zoloft to hold you through.

Don't remember if you are going higher on the Z.

I THINK I MUST GO HIGHER because I take daily an clonazepam now so the Z is doing not enough in my opinion.

I agree HTSP. Bump it up a small amount, give it some time and see what happens.

Same here HTSP, 50mg of the Z is quite low. Real low. Therapeutic is around 125mg if I am correct. But then, there is still the 30mg of the C. We don't want to go overboard with the serotonin.

As for the Clonazepam, I would say that it's normal here being in withdrawal from the C. I tripled my benzo in withdrawal and I could have quintupled and more.

You worry about that later as I did. One thing at a time. May it take two or more years to withdraw from the benzo, it's ok. By the way, two years and more than a half to do so, should be over by Christmas for myself. Yes, I went real real slow, anxiety is my main problem.

We just hate having to rely on something, but we can't control what's going inside our fragile brain. Try as I might, je suis impuissante totalement. Whatever the method, the books, the counseling, when wires are cross sided, only meds can help so we can work through our soi disant problems if any. My experience, my point of view. With love.

Im adverse to meds but I need them for the moment really hard. I will lower my C to 20mg from tomorrow. Let's hope and pray!

Don't hesitate to raise your Zoloft at the same time HTSP as it takes some time to kick in.

The minimum therapeutic dose for anxiety/depression is 50 mg with the normal maintenance to 150 mg daily.

Is it normal that I don't really feel anything about the Z after 3 weeks FH?

It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks to kick in but usually you can feel some improvement by 3 weeks, although minimal in most cases.

Maybe I have to many hassle with the side effects of C that the Z has to little chance to give me improvement?

it. It will just take the right dose for the right amount of time. When I went up I went from 50 to 75 to 100 to 125 to 150. I spent 4 weeks at each dosage. Each time I had a little improvement in my symptoms but it wasn't until I hit 125 mg that I had complete relief.  No I don't think you will probably need 150 mg but one you get to a certain dose you should be ok.

Nothing that I know of HTSP. You just have to wait until it passes. Sorry.
