Hi all,

I started going off my 60mg about 6 weeks ago. I remember going cold turkey about 5 years ago and it was a nightmare. I ended up back on but now need to stop once and for all, as I am a pilot. Still trying to get on a better food and exercise regimen to make up for no meds. Still on 1200mg fish oil. I initially just emptied about 1/4 of my capsule for the first week, then half, then 3/4 by the 4th week. It's been 2 weeks and I thought I would be totally done with any type of symptoms (except for meloncoly/anxiety returning). Not really any issues with anxiety or depression yet, but I am extremely tired even though I get 8 hours of sleep. I also have intermittent diarreah and minor headaches. Is this normal? I definitely feel much better in general (I actually get excited about things), but hopefully have learned by now to self regulate the feelings (hi/low swings) as much as possible. Any feedback regarding the length of time I can expect to have the physical and emotional symptoms would be great. I assume that some overemotion/tearing up is normal when going off something like that?

Thank you for the input.

I have been tearing up/crying a lot since off cold turkey as of last Wednesday.  Yesterday, when feeling blue, I got up and went out for a walk.  Helped tremendously and is not my usual MO.  However, got home and went back down into sadness, anger, and anxiety.  Woke up this morning with the worst panic attack I have had in years.  Still, I know there are better days ahead.  Best to you too!!

WTKF

Standard withdrawal symptoms. You came off very fast but  I hope things don't get worse.

Thanks. I had to come off fast because of a class I am taking and it worked out with going on vacation for two weeks. Not ideal, but hopefully I can keep eating right and exercising enough to ward off too many symptoms.
