Now that I have been off this poison for over 6 years, I hope to help others as they join us

Welcome, Bobby!

In 2 1/2 months, this drug is already fully uploaded in your system. Please do not go cold turkey as that is what I did and I DO NOT recommend it!  I spent 1 year in misery and also, it is not safe as it could cause seizures among other unpleasant things.  This drug has a half life of only 12 hours so if you just stop taking it, you will put yourself into immediate withdrawal.

We recommend "bead counting" by taking out a certain number of beads daily - others will hop on here to explain that.  I sure wish I had done it!

The wonderful people here helped me through this horrible time and I have now been off for almost 3 yrs.  I have stayed with the forum to try to help newbies like you - we can all learn from each other!

Please remember that we are always here for you and will help you in any way that we can!

Liz

Hi Bobby and welcome,

On what dosage are you at this time? What was it prescribed for? And do you suffer from anxiety?

As Liz said, cold turkey is tough for about 20% to 30% of people. When I say tough, I mean real tough. In what percentage are you? Nobody knows.

Do come back and tell us a bit more, this will help us help you.
