So I've been taking Solgar double strength Omega 3 capsules twice a day, it reccomended 4 times a day but they're so expensive. I'm not even sure if this is right type of fish oil or dose? Says 4 capsules is 4800mg cold water fish oil concentrate. This seems a lot? Any advice on what's best type, brand, dose to help with the withdrawal symptoms? Feel like it's all getting worse, just realised I haven't left the house for a week where as first two cold turkey I was still out at Drs, shops etc. Worse thing is I didn't even realise. Feel so out of it now.

The important thing about fish oil is the omega 3 types. There are three types of omega 3 fatty acids. Ala, EPA and DHA. The EPA and DHA are the ones that are important for brain health, anxiety and withdrawal. You should take an Omega 3 supplement that contains at least 2000 mg of total EPA and DHA for maximum effect. Please note that if you have a history of an irregular heart beat then do not exceed 3000 mg a day as it may make your arrhythmia worse. I recommend the...

Life Extension
Super Omega-3 EPA/DHA

If Omega 3 tends to upset your stomach then you may want to try ...

Triple Strength OMEGA-3 (by InnovixLabs). Concentrated Fish Oil, 900 mg Omega-3 per Pill. Enteric Coated, Odorless & Burp-Free. (200)

Both products are molecularly distilled to produce as pure a product as possible. The manufacturers even have random sample testing results for contaminants. I was very pleased when I reviewed those results.

Yes, 2000 mg of total EPA and DHA a day. Sorry about the lack of clarity. As my daddy use to say..."Don't listen to what I say, listen to what I mean."

My dad had a saying about everything. lol
