Does anyone know anything about the benefits of CBD (hemp oil no THC)?

I'm very interested in trying this if it helps. 

Hi Renee, nope, I don't know anything about hemp oil ... except it's rich in the same (I think) nutrients as flax oil/seed ... I'll do some poking around on the 'net and see if I can find any articles that are substantive and worth sharing ...

 

What have you heard about it, why does it seem like something you'd think worth trying ... for what health issues? Any "clues" you can give me will help me find good info for you ....

There are also a LOT of reports of people getting sick ... very, very sick ... from using CBD from tainted sources ... so please don't run off and try this without a lot of research, Renee ... or buy it from just any source ... this stuff is powerful, and potentialy dangerous ...

I heard that hemp oil (not hemp seed oil which is less potent) is used to treat chronic pain. Which is what I'm looking for. There are also claims that it can cure cancer and is beneficial for many medical issues as well as anxiety.

 I'm terrible at research and would never buy it from a source that wasn't referred by someone that knows a lot about it. I asked my Dr about medical marijuana and she said to go ahead and try it. lol. It is not legal in Massachusetts but it is decriminalized. I don't want to get "high" I just want the pain reducing ,anti inflammatory benefits.

 

I have no idea how I would go about getting a reliable source for anything like this.

Hi Renee, I'll spend some time looking for reputable sources for you ... and, now that I know that it's relief from pain that you'd be using it for, I can narrow my search for research articles to just those that focus on it's use for pain. I won't be able to do this until tomorrow, probably early afternoon, but I'll get back to you here with links, etc.

You can find it at Whole Foods -recommend you get it from the cold shelf in the Vitamin section. I tried it briefly  but disliked the taste so returned and got refund with n/p

RJ  I did not take it for pain but cant recall why I took it >a vendor talked me into it that I know .  to me it tasted unhealthy as in Crude Oil -petroleum like

Sounds aweful. I can't stomach ACV so probably won't like this either.
