Brief article, worth scanning ... to paraphrase, it says that SSRI's (that act on serotonin), may actually increase fatigue and low energy ... suggests focusing on anti-D's that increase dopamine (which is a "motivating" neurotransmitter) ....

The only such anti-D that I'm aware of is Wellbutrin (generic - bupropion) ....

This was certainly true for me.

5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

Hi FN,

That was the first ad that I wanted to try. But the one that I tried last.

Doctors hesitate to give this one to people with anxiety. In my experience, it did not make it any worse at all. But, as they all do for myself, they poop out real fast.

People also mention a kind of high on it, I did not feel this at all. I thought the smoking would be less also, no way.

Just saying that this ad should not be ruled out for people with anxiety. Of course we are all different in responding to an ad.

SSRI/SNRIs and fatigue totally go hand in hand. when on any anti-d (except wellbutrin) i easily slept 12 hours a night and still needed an alarm i also would fall asleep during the day if not occupied with an activity. i fought sleep throughout the day. once i quit i sleep 7 hours a night and rarely need a nap. i was on wellbutrin for about 6 months. no fatigue  but i lost my ability to speak in complete sentences and spoke with very pressured speech. i would also loose my train of thought. it was a career breaker for my years as an on-air radio broadcaster.

Read so many painful stories on here and offering others support while trying to heal myself from cymbalta and other antidepressents.

I remember when they gave wellburtin to people who wanted to quit smoking.  Boy were they off
