Hi all.
I must first say that my blood pressure values are and most of the time had been on within normal range (before ever taking clonidine or other meds). im started taking clonidine as an attempt to reduce the palpitations and the sensation of "no air", which mostly occurs within mornings just before waking up.
I started to take clonidine lately.
I started from a very low dose:
0.025 (took it 2 days) - no effect.
then took 0.05 (also for 2 days) - no effect
during these times I checked my blood pressure 2 - 5 hours after taking the medication (at plasma concetration peak times) and my blood pressure seems to be at normal values.
now the thing is that I've been having heart palpitations and stuff for years and I guess I developed this awareness with my heart rythm and\or the way each beat "feels".
so - even if i took clonidine at the morning, when im going to sleep I become aware to the way my heart beats. when I can't feel my beats I get afraid that my heart is working to slow\weak and that it will stop. I know it make no sense because my blood pressure did not change at 2 - 5 hours after taking the drug. but what can i do, its my brain
-did anyone in here had this sense of fear? ill be glad to know how he\she reacted.
-and, is it OK to take clonidine, even though my blood bressure is within normal range?
Thanks
