Ever since I started to quit cymbalta a few months ago I've been waking up every single night. Before that, I always slept through the night using 25mg Quetiapine/Seroquel and 3mg melatonin. I have Lyme Disease, and without these meds I'm unable to fall asleep. I used to sleep well with them, but ever since I'm counting beads, it's not enough any more.

The last few months I've been waking up around 3 am and it takes me at least an hour to go back to sleep. I've been doing the bead counting method and I've managed to go from 60mg to to 30mg without having any issues, except for waking up at night.

Anyone else having this problem? Does it go away when I've fully quit this horrible drug?

Hi Pico,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry that I can't answer your question here.
I wake up about 10 times a night, not related to Cymbalta.

Fishinghat should be able to answer this, he will be in shortly. Stand by!

Difficulty sleeping or even not being able to sleep at all is common with the withdrawal. Some use a little Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help them sleep at night, Be sure it is compatible with your other meds. If that is the extent of your sleep loss you are doing better than most. I only slept about 4 or 4 hours a night for the first 3 months. It makes the anxiety and mood swings worse but does get better.
