Hi everyone,
I spent last night reading The Road Back website last night, has anyone tried this method of weaning off? I'd love to hear your stories! It's basically taking herbal supplements in order to combat the withdrawal symptoms. It's not cheap so I'd like to hear some testamonials before investing!
Thanks, magikpoet.

During the years I have been on this site many have asked this question and while I have not used them personally I have looked at their reviews on line. There are a lot of success stories but there are also a lot of people who have complained that it is very expensive for something you can do at home. There are also a lot of people who mention that the effectiveness of treatment was minimal. Now this is sort of logical because no treatment works on everyone. I would expect successes and failures BUT I would be very wary of taking supplements without a thorough review of their compatibility with my medical conditions and other medications. We have had several members that have had severe reactions between some supplements and prescriptions even sending some to the hospital (including me). Some have also turned out to  be allergic to some of the vitamins that their drs have put them on. So if you decide to proceed with this path I would just be cautious and proceed slowly. There are some precautions you can take to minimize these risks so let me know and I will make some suggestions on how to proceed.
