Hello everyone,

When I first began reducing Cymbalta almost three months ago after developing a late but severe reaction to it, I was unaware of the host of problems that would arise when I started. As a result, I pushed it down too quickly, and after nearly two weeks of not being on it, was forced to return to it due to overwhelming withdrawal symptoms.

I have read here that it's best to return to the original dose, but I would like to ask if that's required. Pushing the medication back up is also very unpleasant and I worry that I may not be able to get back there.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Welcome Galeas,

You don't mention the dosage you were on.

So, let's say that you were at 60mg, you may try to drop to 30mg. Give it time to see how you are feeling. Many have done that with no problems!

If this is too tough, back to 60mg and bead counting. come back anytime, we are always here for you!

I agree with Gail. That would probably be the best approach.
