Feeling Desperate And Confused

Sorry me again.
I am still having bad pains in my shoulders, under my arms and in between my shoulder blades. I am also random sweats and feel generally unwell. I was beginning to think it could be the Lansoprazole I am taking as it got worse after I took it this morning.
I spoke to my doctor today and she is adamant it isn't the Lansoprazole. She asked me where I am in the weaning process. I told her 29 beads and she said she would be happy for me to go down 2 beads every day!! I don't think so🙄😡. I didn't say that of course.
She now wants me to take Amitriptyline for the pain as she thinks I've got costochondritis (which I've had before). Unbelievable that they keep throwing tablets out!!
Do you think what I'm experiencing is withdrawal and where should I go from here? At my wits end😢. Thanks

Still think it can be withdrawal but I am glad you saw your dr about it.

I will lay off the Lansoprazole for a couple of days to see if that's making things worse- although she told me to carry on taking them. Where shall I go from here? Should I stay on the 15/14 split tomorrow? Thanks very much.

As of week three, I am feeling stronger, more awake somehow, no headache, increased bowel movements, slight neck and shoulder pain but very manageable.

I remember those days and my doctor said it was just arthritis. Well I still have arthritis and it is not nearly as painful as what I dealt with when getting off Cymbalta Except for my knees, they are worse than ever and I walk with a cane now.
Cymbalta almost broke me but I survived.

Thanks FH. Really don't know what to do about the dose. May try 14 in the morning and 14 in the evening and see how it goes.Is it best to stick to twice a day now? Thank you.

Sorry for late show today - not been a good day this end.
Looks like you have everything in place here and I would agree with everything said, so not much to add from my part other than I hope that it continues to abate and FOR SURE do not be adding another pill to the mix. Good grief...

Acupuncture is great! It should sort you out. I had it for quite a long time but am having Shiatsu massage now, which is based on a similar principle.
Have you had the neck and shoulder pain since you started taking Cymbalta or since you have been weaning off? I was only on it for 4 weeks before I started weaning off and am shocked it is such a nightmare to get off! I'm at 14 beads twice a day.
Good luck with the acupuncture!

A quick update. I dropped a bead this morning- so 14 in the morning and 14 at night. I also haven't taken my Lansoprazole as I was convinced it was giving me the back, shoulder and arm pain. Well today that pain has disappeared but I do have the heartburn back behind my breastbone and in between my shoulder blades. Both pains are bad so I'm not quite sure what to do now🤔.
Please can someone remind me if there is a problem with Ranitidine as I saw it on the news lately? Out of desperation at work I have taken a Ranitidine and it has eased the pain a bit. I also have some Omeprazole at home which I could try. I see fro ForLyla's post that taking PPIs has set her book. Will this do the same for me? I really am still not sure whether it's the Duloxetine causing this or if it's the polyp in my stomach and inflamed oesophagus which were picked up on a recent endoscopy. Still feeling very confused.
Thanks.

This is the latest information.
https://www.fda.gov/...ntac-ranitidine
Update [10/2/19] - FDA varified that the lab method used in the analysis of ranitidine by the original testers was an inapproprite test procedure. It used too high an analytical temperature which lead to the production of NDMA. The correct procedure has been issued.
https://www.drugs.co.../1991-1283.html
September 25, 2019 -- Apotex Corp. is voluntarily, on a precautionary basis, recalling Ranitidine Tablets 75mg and 150mg (All pack sizes and Formats) to the Retail level. Apotex has learned from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other Global regulators that some ranitidine medicines including brand and generic formulations of ranitidine regardless of the manufacturer, contain a nitrosamine impurity called N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) at low levels. To date, Apotex has not received any reports of adverse events related to use of the product.

I figure I'm going to have this pain for a while anyway (until I get it under control) so I thought I would drop a bead every 2 days to see how I go. Do you think this is a good plan?
Thanks very much.
