Didn't expect you to be!! But thought you'd appreciate a read.

It's Ely Lilly and the Prozac story all over again.

Such a sad word where money makes it go round.

1 Timothy 6 verse 10 sound familiar to anyone?

I'm going to post these for others to save looking them up;

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

Bad day for the UK today - looks like the peak is days away. Great time to have loads of NHS frontline staff without protection.

Just how much of the £5.8 million that our genius PM spent on sending our letter would have protected those staff.

Numbnut.

Therapy and a face-to-face client today, so its all happening! Therapist largely reflecting what LDN has been saying insomuch that we are doing what we can do, and to remember that it is one long continuous exposure. She reminded me that the same applies in this situation just as it does when I am out practising my anxiety skills. I am STILL in the midst of a difficult situation so the skills are still being tested sat right here in my flat writing to my forum family...

No - the parents haven't even had a letter and they are over 70.

Yes, seen the news about BoJo. I know he has not done quite the better job, but I would not for one moment wish this on him. With a baby on the way as well, let's hope he doesn't become another statistic for the sake of the country. That would be just one too much.

"Ali Milani told ITV News: "My hopeful wish is that the Prime Minister does recover but more important that he takes this experience, having experienced the very best care from doctors and nurses, in the ICU back to Number 10."

So it is more important that the Prime Minister takes his experience of being in hospital back to parliament, than it does that he survives??

These are the people that run the UK.... just proof that they open their mouth before they think.

Thanks for starting this, IUN!

I'm working from home, that adds to my anxiety over this virus. I'm nervous going to the grocery store, I've been going about every 2 weeks but I think I will start every week. The every 2 week trip takes too long since I need more things.

How are things over in the UK?

Absolutely Liz... This is EXACTLY why I do little and often at the moment. Shorter trips, but more frequent. I do 2 or 3 times a week.

Don't mention the UK, it is a shambles. The only country who won't release recovered figures. The whole world is asking why why why?

Why? I'll tell you why. Because it is embarassingly shameful.

Finally the world can see how bad the NHS situation is. People think we are so lucky having the NHS but the truth is that it is on the brink of privitisation because the Tory (current) government has pushed it to the edge.

All the frontline workers don't have PPE and so hospitals have become breeding grounds for the virus which is why our cases per day have stayed the same for almost a month, 5000 monday, 5000 tuesday..... 5000, 5000. All other countries have dropped off - Not us.

I hate it and want out.

So a month on from the "peak" 5000 cases per day, and how are the UK doing after that?

4913.

And how many of these were front line care workers in the NHS?

1330

Yes, nearly a third of the cases of CV are happening to our NHS staff because the government aren't supplying the right equipment. They STILL do not have this equipment. It is exactly like I said days ago, the hospitals have become a breeding ground for the virus. The staff do not know they have it, they go home, give it to their families, their fellow staff. So forgive me in saying this, but...

SCREW THE UK GOVERNMENT - you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I hope the world can see just how bad the NHS is and what we have to put up with.

God Bless all those workers in the hospitals. My prayers and thoughts go with them as they work overtime everyday not knowing whether they are safe or not.

It's official. The UK has the worst figures in Europe for the virus.

You thought Italy and Spain were bad...

Press conference just now the Prime Minister says our efforts have paid off. Paid off how exactly?! Not making them look even worse than they already are?

As for mental health - what are they doing? Taking pressure off the NHS by throwing money at charities such as the Samaritans - who, don't get me wrong - do a fabulous job, but once again, the government side-stepping the issue rather than dealing with it themselves. Mental Health patients, Cancer patients... you name it, all being shoved to the side.

This is a bad day for me, and indeed for most of the UK loosing yet more faith in our countries ability to handle a crisis.

The US is a hot mess too.

Our current administration has long been hell bent on destroying the federal government from the inside, and they're really leaning into it now. They're not doing a damn thing and letting the states fend for themselves. Now we've got certain states reopening even though they haven't been seeing a decrease in cases, hot spots all over the country where the necessary precautions haven't been taken to prevent spread because the government hasn't set any. The federal govt is diverting orders of PPE to hospitals into the national stockpile instead. Presumably to sell to their buddies who will then resell it back to the original recipients at 10 times the price.

States are solely responsible for getting their own testing, their own PPE, their own ventilators and they're all running out of money and the federal government isn't doing jack to help them. In fact they're using it as a moment to get their own evil agendas passed. Like withholding money from states unless they deal with "immigration problems" in their "sanctuary cities." Or doubling down on their hate for the US postal service and refusing to pass any stimulus bill that contains any bailout money for it. It's a complete circus. Every one of these people is a criminal who deserves to rot in prison for life. Meanwhile they keep quacking on about the economy, as they sit idly by and do nothing to help states get to a point where they can SAFELY reopen. It's absolutely disgusting and I'm terrified about what will happen this November during the election since Republicans have done a hell of a job gerrymandering the crap out of this country and suppressing voters. They've gone so far as admitting that if they allowed all voters to do mail in ballots they wouldn't stand a change!

Sorry... had to vent. It's been driving me insane.

Likewise with the UK though I know all eyes are on the US as they often are. It's truly pathetic to have one unified country be told it needs to start functioning as 50 mini countries. This is just another obvious ploy by Republican leadership to chip away at federal power. It's horrifying to watch and with a lame excuse for a candidate as our Democratic horse in the presidential race this year, I'm really concerned there could be another Trump win. I'm truly scared of what 4 more years of Trump and his goons in Congress would look like, though I have some ideas.

Well the first phase is being set in lifting here in the UK. We can be outside exercising as and when we want to, and with members of our family, but no-one outside of that circle. Those who absolutely cannot work from home can return whilst integrating social distancing. All very well, but this depends on my clients for me and how they feel about the whole thing.

The UK haven't exactly filled the population with confidence now being the highest death toll in Europe.

They say we did very well. But that is simply not true.

Would the rest of the world say Italy and Spain did well? Nope. Well we are one step further ahead of them!!

Let's see what happens. There have only been 3 deaths within a 5 mile radius of my town, so it is fairly safe.

•As millions of anxious American look for mental health resources, supplies of America's most popular antidepressant are running low.

•The FDA said that Zoloft, or the generic sertraline, is in short supply because of increased demand.

•According to Bloomberg, a record-setting 4.9 million people got Zoloft prescriptions in March, the most ever in the US.

Just a few notes to pass along about dealing with covid-19 care at home.

Fever - acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Do NOT take other nsaids (aspirin, aleve, naproxen, etc.). They may make fluid buildup in the lungs worse.

Decongestant - phenylephrine (Sudafed PE, Wal-phed PE, Suphedrine PE ...)

Chest Congestion (expectorant)  - guaifenesin (Mucinex, Wal-Tussin Chest Congestion ...)
Stay hydrated

Cough Suppression - Chloraseptic Lozenges (cough drops, Active Ingredients: Benzocaine 15mg, Menthol 10mg)

Do not use dextromethorphan (Delsym, Wal-Tussin DM,...)  as it increases the reproduction of sars-2

Sore Throat - Gargle,   with  0.23% povidone-iodine (PVPI) mouthwash best, (kills Sars-2 in throat and mouth).    If not available can gargle with mouthwash or warm honey tea.

Monitor blood oxygen levels - most phones have apps to help monitor blood O2 but can also order 'blood oxygen monitor' from Amazon. pO2 should stay at 97% or higher.

Anti-inflammatory - acetaminophen (Tylenol)

Antiviral -
In order of effectiveness.
Lactoferrin
Astaxanthin 6 to 12 mg/day
Resveratrol
iota-carrageenan-containing lozenges and nasal spray
Houttuynia cordata

Postural Drainage - especially 1 hour after Decongestant

Increased O2 uptake - fresh air, vitamin B-5, and vitamin B-6. The lower the humidity and temperature the more oxygen in the air.

Home oxygen therapy
Home Oxygen Concentrators - Use to 6 to 10 liters/minute.
Recreational Oxygen Cans

Body aches, low levels of enzyme alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and hemoglobin levels. are indicators of potential severe coronavirus.

DO NOT USE ANY MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY MEDICINE. Greatly increases mortality. These are medicines that end in -mab.
They significantly reduce the body's ability to fight pathogens (disease causing organisms).

A list of these medications are at...

They are used to treat:

Edit - There is now a study out that says certain mab drugs may help treat Covid-9 while others may make things worse. If this gets clarified I will repost this info.
